The Girl Next Door
Okay. I know it’s an old movie. What? 2004? But I just got done watching it all the way through for the first time and I have to tell you that it’s the first time in a long time that a movie has made me feel so many emotions at the same time. I laughed, I was scared, I felt sick, and fell in love all at the same time throughout the movie.
Emile Hirsh, Matthew Kidman, plays a mean role that almost feels like it was meant for him to play it. He falls in love with Danielle, Elisha Cuthbert, a reformed porn-star in the movie. They get into mischievous trouble that leads to true movie-magic in the end.
The type of relationship that Hirsh and the beautiful Cuthbert create on-screen is electrifying and like nothing even the best acting could even begin to entrap. It kind of makes me wonder why I ever settled for anything less in my various previous relationships.
I’m not going to lie, it makes me wish that I had someone that is as there for me as Cuthbert was for Hirsh in throughout the length of the movie. They seem to get each other into a lot of trouble, but at the same time don’t sleep until they know the other is OK. It makes me long for something warm and comforting.
But unfortunately my fate has been decided for me.
Overall, the movie was great and I had forgotten how awesome and funny it was.
one.
